Parenting Time Supervisor

With over six years of experience in psychology and counselling, Maina Gouseinova brings a compassionate and structured approach to supporting families in Kelowna. At Crowning Life Counselling, Maina serves as a Parenting Time Supervisor, where she provides both consented and court-mandated parental time supervision. Her work emphasizes safety and the well-being of each child, and she offers invaluable support and education to help rebuild and strengthen parent-child relationships.

Maina’s professional journey includes extensive experience in youth support, family advocacy, and crisis intervention. As a Youth Support Worker, she guided teens in making positive decisions, developing life skills, and navigating crucial appointments, such as counselling and probation. Additionally, her role as an Addictions Support Worker enabled her to provide essential support to women in recovery, fostering a stable and caring environment for personal growth.
Maina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling from Kelowna College of Professional Counselling. Her specialized training through the Justice Institute in Adult and Youth Probation, along with her crisis intervention expertise, enhances her ability to assist families facing difficult transitions. Known for her non-judgmental approach and dedication to client safety, Maina’s work in Kelowna counselling is grounded in empathy, structure, and a commitment to lasting positive outcomes.
